David Wagner

David L. Wagner is chairman of the Advance Bristol Executive Committee. He also serves as the Bristol president and executive vice president for Bank of Tennessee. He is responsible for managing the Bristol market, servicing commercial banking customers in the areas of lending, depository and cash management services.

A Kingsport native, Mr. Wagner has worked in the financial services industry for more than 32 years, having spent the last 18 years at Bank of Tennessee. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, where he earned a BBA in management. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.

Mr. Wagner is chair-elect of NETWORKS Sullivan Partnership and former chairman of the Bristol Tennessee Industrial Development Board. He has also served as board chair and campaign chair for the United Way of Bristol, chair of the Wellmont Foundation Board, and chair of the Bristol TN/VA Chamber of Commerce, as well as several other local boards.
