J. Allen Hurley, II

J. Allen Hurley, II serves as secretary of the Advance Bristol Executive Committee. He is the founder of Touchstone, a wireless phone repair company he initially operated out of a neighbor’s garage.

Touchstone grew to include 2,700 employees, four facilities and nearly $1.25 billion in annual sales. The company was named one of Fortune magazine’s Top 5,000 privately held companies in 2010. Mr. Hurley sold the business to a Fortune 500 company that same year.

Since then, Mr. Hurley has successfully developed more than 1 million square feet of commercial and residential real estate across Northeast Tennessee. In addition, in 2010, J. Allen Hurley and Associates founded Vision, LLC, which provides services to Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs throughout the United States. As a consultant, Mr. Hurley provides market analysis, operational organization, finance, contract negotiation, sales management and long-term planning services for the company.

Mr. Hurley serves as the chairman of Vision, LLC, and of the Northeast State Investment Committee, as well as vice chair of the Northeast State Community College Foundation. He also served on the boards of NETWORKS Sullivan Partnership, Paramount Bristol, Northeast State Audit Committee, Northeast State Executive Committee, ACMA Board of Directors and Believe in Bristol.

Accolades he has received throughout his career include Outstanding Alumni Award from Northeast State, Heritage Alliance Award for Adaptive Reuse, Tennessee Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy, Supplier of the Year, Business Journal’s Top 100 People You Need to Know, ACG Corporate Growth Award and Republican National Leadership Award.
